Welcome Arthur Smith as our new Riparian Grant Program Specialist!

We’re excited to share that Arthur Smith has joined SCC as our new Riparian Grant Program Specialist. Arthur comes to SCC from the Lewis Conservation District, where he managed the District’s riparian program and worked directly with landowners on habitat restoration and watershed‑scale salmon recovery efforts.

Welcome Michael Lopez as our new Director of Tribal Affairs!

Michael brings more than 20 years of experience serving Tribal nations as both an attorney and a natural resource professional. His background includes over 17 years as in-house counsel for the Nez Perce Tribe, where he specialized in Indian law, treaty rights, natural resources management, environmental law, and government-to-government relations.
